Welcome to the Rotary Club of Alexandria. Our Club is an organization of approximately 115 business people dedicated to serving the community of Alexandria and participating in projects around the world to assist those less fortunate in the areas of education, water sanitation and providing peace throughout the world. This is the beginning of an exciting Rotary year. It is the 92nd anniversary year of our Club and our 141th annual fundraising event the “Taste for Giving”. We plan on featuring the history of our Club and members and celebrating our event. Proceeds from the event are contributed to over 40 Alexandria charities that provide services to the citizens of our community. Please join us in making this year the most successful yet! |
Our membership is 112 and growing and is a great cross section of men and woman of all ages including a vibrant group of young professionals.

Among other efforts Rotary International is committed to the elimination of polio worldwide. The next worldwide goal is to ensure everyone has access to clean water.
On a local level, we raise funds to help improve the quality of life for our Alexandria neighbors.
Alexandria Day Nursery and Children’s Home. Throughout its existence, the Rotary Club of Alexandria has focused its interest on the welfare of the children of Alexandria.
It all started in a small house on Prince Street in 1933 and so the “Day Nursery” was born.
The Rotary Club of Alexandria Grant Program provides financial support to nonprofit organizations that advance literacy for children and adults and/or improve the lives of children, youth, seniors, and others with special needs within the city limits of Alexandria.
Our grants are distributed in general categories to over 40 local charities.
