Last week during our meeting we recognized a group of birthdays, heard from Sonia Fisher from TC Williams HS about her year coming up on a Rotary Youth Exchange in Spain, learned Nancy Nevy Cruz is moving to the DC Club, and heard from John Moorman that the club is looking for a location to store important club items. Our speaker, Shawn Eyer, Dir. of Communications & Development at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, told us many facts about the memorial. He gave us information about the current top to bottom restoration that we can see during the 5 daily tours during any day of the week, 9 to 5 for $15 per person. Shawn also relayed details about the Freemasonry movement and its role in the US from the 1700s and how it served to unite people across religious lines.
